S1000D User Forum: OneStrand Staff Spotlight – Part 1

Welcome to our first blog on the upcoming S1000D User Forum in Amsterdam – 12 to 14 June, 2017.

ADG and OneStrand team members attend Technical Publication, MRO and ILS conferences around the world.  We observe, present and discuss the tools and technologies that are emerging to consider how this effects information management teams. We can then pass this information on to you.

Samantha recently mentioned in a post that OneStrand has their Vendor Stand booked and our marketing activities are now in full-swing. As we are now less than 75 days out from conference, the OneStrand Team wanted to start sharing the build-up on what is happening in preparation for this annual S1000D conference.

To kick things off we would like to introduce the OneStrand Team attending the 2017 S1000D User Forum.  This week our Staff Spotlight is on Melissa Pennline:

Melissa has 20 years of Technical Publications operational management experience in the commercial, defense and aerospace industries. With a proven track record in program and configuration management, Melissa has implemented Lean practices that maximize productivity and holds a certificate in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt methodologies.

Possessing a vast knowledge of multiple authoring and illustrating platforms, Melissa has supported the development, publication and delivery of operational and maintenance manuals for global Military projects. As an industry specialist, Melissa has proven success in developing and implementing interactive MIL-STD and S1000D based IETMs. These quality technical manuals meet FAA, JAA, CAA, DoD, and DND requirements.

Melissa’s diverse and extensive technical background now allows her to build new partnerships around the globe as the Business Development Manager of OneStrand’s robust technical authoring and S1000D software solutions.

With 128 people already signed-up to the event and a total of approximately 350 expected, our team is super excited and we look forward to catching up with everyone who can make it to Amsterdam!

Reeta Nye’s spotlight in Part 2 and Tammy Halter’s profile in Part 3 are now available.
