Robert Acton – Operations Manager (Manchester)
Robert has over 20 years’ experience working at Pennant within Computer Based Training, producing virtual reality trainers, 3D graphics, self-paced and instructor led courseware, multimedia packages and training videos for a wide variety of clients. He was the Project Lead on several Key Media programmes including: The Virtual Loadmaster Simulator, Virtual Reality Parachute Trainer, Virtual Marshalling Trainer and Astute Class Submarine Familiarisation Trainer. In 2015 the Virtual Reality team, headed by Robert, won the Best Visual Simulator for the Virtual Parachute Simulator at the Unite Awards hosted by Unity. Robert became Operations Manager for the Manchester site in July 2020 and is responsible for the Studio Services and Technical Documentation Departments.

Will Bruce – Head of Operations (Track Access Services)
With a career that began in Automotive Design, Will now has 15 years’ experience working for Track Access Services within the Rail Industry. Working to support Network Rail and Train Operating Companies during the design and implementation of enhancement and renewals projects, Will has been deeply involved in the evolution of video technology and virtual modelling within the rail industry providing visualisation support for survey, signal sighting, driver training and briefing packages. In 2019 Track Access Services joined Pennant with Will as Head of Operations responsible for the delivery of rail industry projects and the talented team of video editors, illustrators and 3D modellers in the department.

Tom Blacker – Business Development Executive
Tom has over 10 years’ experience in publishing and media, mainly for trade magazines managing sales for a wide range of clients around the world, becoming well versed in value-added advertising for print and online channels; directing campaigns through designers, printers, online platforms and media partnerships always with a customer-first approach. He is very interested in the rail industry and builds on a long legacy of involvement by Pennant in rail services and training. Tom joined Pennant recently in mid-2021 in the Business Development team in the Cheltenham HQ.
